This is long enough to have it rest on the arms of most standard recliners rather than on your lap. Made of your choice of wood. Makes a great gift for back to school student or teacher, allowing them to use their ipad or laptop in a comfy chair rather than at their desk. It can even double as a bath caddy (wood must be kept dry to last), though I don't recommend non-waterproof electronics around the bathtub!
Base Price Includes:
-Wood Selected
-Double Round Over Edging (1/4 round on both sides making the grip comfortable with no sharp edges)
-3 coats of quality urethane to seal to protect the wood - Your choice of Matte, Satin, or Gloss.
Available options are $7 each. Please let me know in the check out notes which options you want. If you want more options than are available or need a different size, please contact me for a custom listing. Upon receiving your order, I'll create a mockup to show you how your options will look on the board and give you an opportunity to change things to your liking.
Commonly Requested Options ($7 each):
-Wine glass slot
-Shot glass depression
-Coffee mug depression
-Tablet / Ipad Slot
-Cell phone depression
-Engraved phrase or name carved into the wood
-Votive Candle Holders (up to 3)
-Laptop vent holes (go thru the board)
-Hole cut out on end for hanging (can be rectangular or circular)
More complicated options are count as 2 or 3 options:
-Metal Handles count as 2 options
-Stain (only available for pine, the other woods are so beautiful just left natural) counts as 2 options.
-Risers (if you'd like raise the tray higher than armrests) - Count as 2 Options for up to 4" tall.
-Laptop vent ridges (carved 1/8" deep to allow extra airflow, but don't go through the board) counts as 3 options.
-Metal Handles count as 2 options
-Book stand counts as 3 options, but also includes the ability to use it as a tablet slot
Keep in mind these are hand-made and wood is a natural product with variations, so no two laptop desks will be identical. Wood will be edge glued to achieve the up to 10" width. If you want a board that is not edge glued or want a "live edge" look contact me for a quote.
